Quality Control and CMM Inspection
At Huateng, the components we manufacture are typically critical parts characterised by complex structures and stringent precision requirements, presenting unique inspection challenges. To overcome these, we employ a comprehensive suite of product validation methods to inspect everything from linear tolerances to intricate geometric dimensions and tolerances. Utilising Statistical Process Control (SPC) ensures our production meets or exceeds customer specifications, with our process inspection rates established according to the customer’s Acceptable Quality Level (AQL).
Inspection equipment includes optical profile projectors and a full suite of manual contact measurement tools. Huateng employs a modern coordinate measuring machine (CMM) equipped with Calypso programming software, housed within a temperature- and humidity-controlled environment. This facilitates the measurement of complex geometries to verify compliance with all client specifications. As all inspection equipment electronically records and reports data, it proves invaluable for first article and in-process inspections, as well as for assessing machining capability and stability. Customer 3D model files can be directly imported into the CMM, facilitating direct comparison with dimensions obtained from physical parts.
